When Maria was searching for a bookshelf that was more than furniture - a tool for independence - she found MiniPiu, a Spanish family-owned brand handcrafting children's furniture in Barcelona. What won her over was the perfect height: at children's eye level, not adults'.

Unlike tall commercial shelves where books are "stored" out of reach, this allows your child to choose their own book, open it themselves, and then put it back in the right place. This is how you cultivate a love of reading: through free access and real autonomy.

The pine, according to supplier information, comes from local Spanish suppliers and is crafted by artisans in small workshops. No mass production. Each piece is made-to-order with water-based, odorless varnishes.
